Generally rounded whorl section. Normally relatively slender. Straight, fine, well defined, very dense ribbing. Ribs run straight or slightly bent forward over top (venter). Maximum size ~11cm, average size ~7cm.
Actual ammonite size: 6.1cm
Age (lithology): Upper Lias; Toarcian; Tenuicostatum zone, Tenuicostatum subzone.
Distribution: Staithes, Port Mulgrave, Runswick, Kettleness, Sandsend, Hawsker.
Occurrence: Common (although some destinations much more so than others)
